Diabetic Retinopathy: An eye disease mostly caused by advanced or uncontrolled diabetes. The blood vessels in the retina, the nerve tissue in the back of the eye become damaged due to diabetes and leak. The result is vision loss.
We utilize Digital Photography, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Optomap Wide Retinal Imaging among other technologies to diagnose Diabetic Retinopathy.
Treatment is focused on diabetes control in early stages, accompanied with medical (Anti-VGEF) or laser treatment in advanced stages.
